Auralite-23 comes from only one crystal gem mine in the world, and that is the mine located in the Boreal Forest north of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, also called the "Cave of Wonders". - It is very likely that the name Auralite was usedfor this kind of Amethyst was made in favor of Canadian Amethysts and in Honor of the Aurora Borealis.
- Several mines in Canada have not adopted the Auralite name to represent their Red-Crowned Amethysts and market their production as "Thunder Bay Amethyst" because of its origin from the Thunder Bay District of Ontario.
- Super Seven and Auralite Super 23 are Sister stones differentiated by groupings of other crystal inclusions, but both are Daughters of Amethyst.
